Stop destroying our planet. It’s where I keep all my stuff.
Since the end of last summer, RTJ has been out and about. WAY out. We’ve been around the world and back! Well, almost. RTJ was invited to a Global Issues Youth conference in Doha, Qatar in March to talk to students about how they can make changes in their own communities. There were lots of fantastic speakers and students from all over the world - Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Vietnam, Oman, USA… the list goes on! We had a great experience, learned a lot, and inspired a few schools to take action on climate change!
(Oh, and don’t worry, our airplane trip was made green by carbon offsetting!)
Check out the closing ceremony video to get an idea of all the awesome things that happened…

It’s official! The movie that RTJ is presenting at Princess Cinema on August 13th is going to be Bullfrog Powered! This means that for all of the electricity that is being used to power the movie, Bullfrog Power will supply the same amount of green power to the grid to offset our usage!
We’re trying to keep this event as carbon-neutral as we can, so we’re strongly encouraging everyone to bike, walk or take public transit to the event!

Hi again!
With all this great media attention we’ve been getting, I thought it was be a great time to announce and promote a movie we’re presenting at Princess Cinema at 6 Princess Street West, in Waterloo, on August 13th at 7pm. Tickets $10 at the door.
The movie is called Sprawling from Grace, Driven to Madness. It is a documentary feature film about “the unintended consequences of suburban sprawl. It illustrates the importance of altering the course of how we develop our nation’s cities. It details the dangers [North] Americans face should we fail to reevaluate our approach to urban development.”

Hey everyone!
Thanks to everyone who came out to our launch party yesterday! It was much busier than last year - we had lots of people passing by stop off to learn about RTJ and grab a free solar-powered snow cone! We had lots of press there including CTV and the local paper, the Waterloo Record. Check out the article in the Record below if you missed the event!
Waterloo Town Square was quite the happening place, so we’ll be back again this summer for sure! Check out our events page to see where we are next!
